Please arrive to class on time. We all know unexpected events can come up and so, when it is possible, plan to leave for class 5 minutes earlier! If you are late, please enter quietly, which means, taking soft foot steps, avoiding the door slamming behind you, placing your belongings down in a mindful manner. As many of you may have gathered, yoga is much more than a physical practice of poses. This respect, awareness of others, and reflecting on your own actions is part of the yoga!
Please come prepared to pay. If you purchase a package of classes, keep track of how many you use and come prepared to pay if you are renewing when your package is used up.
Please leave your shoes close to the entry door. We try to avoid outdoor shoes in the practice space as much as possible since we practice barefoot and it stays cleaner this way.
If chatting with other attendees in the moments leading up to class beginning, please keep it at a calm and mellow level. There are some practitioners who arrive 5-10 minutes early and sit quietly on their mats to practice meditation or to enjoy the calm atmosphere. This is a valuable part of the experience, and loud chatter and conversation is disruptive to those people.
Tell the teacher before class begins if you have any injuries, limitations, or areas of sensitivity. This enables her to help you in the most effective way possible!
